Pavi Ramamurthy – Senior Manager, Information Security, LinkedIn

As the Senior Manager, Information Security at LinkedIn, Pavi Ramamurthy manages the security ecosystem team for the company. The ecosystem team is responsible for risk governance & compliance, customer & supplier security assurance, security education, awareness & training, application security incident response including tracking and researcher response, and security program management helping drive security initiatives across LinkedIn. Pavi has close to 24 years of experience working in the software industry and nearly 11 years in the security sector. Her previous positions include roles at VMware, Determina, Vitria Technology, and 3Com.

Adam Ely, Walmart

Adam Ely – VP & Deputy CISO, Walmart

Adam Ely is an entrepreneur and operations executive having founded a security product company and held leadership roles with several Fortune 100 companies. Ely is currently Vice President and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer with Walmart. Prior to this role he co-founded Bluebox Security, acquired in 2016, was the CISO of Salesforce’s Heroku business unit, and led security and compliance at TiVo and within The Walt Disney Company. In addition to his current role, Adam has served as an advisor to companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 on operations, go to market, and technology.

David Tsao

David Tsao – Global CISO, Veeva Systems

David Tsao is the Global Information Security Officer (CISO) for Veeva Systems, and is responsible for the overall security of Veeva’s cloud-based products and corporate IT ecosystem. David previously spent 12 years at Gilead Sciences, where he established and led their enterprise-wide information security and privacy programs.

Summer Fowler, CERT

Summer Fowler – Technical Director, Cybersecurity Risk & Resilience at CERT

Summer Fowler is the Technical Director of Cybersecurity Risk & Resilience in the CERT Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s (CMU) Software Engineering Institute (SEI). Summer is responsible for a $20M+ portfolio focused on improving the security and resilience of the Nation’s critical infrastructure and assets. Summer has 18 years of experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, and technical management. Prior to joining the SEI, Summer was a Technical Member at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and a software engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Summer holds a BS degree in Computer Science and a MS degree in Information Science/Telecommunications from the University of Pittsburgh. She teaches two graduate level courses on Information Technology Project Management and Cybersecurity Policy at the CMU Heinz School. She is also the Technical Sponsor of the CISO and CRO Executive Certificate Programs, and she helped to develop and teaches for an executive program educating Board of Directors members on cybersecurity oversight. Summer was selected to be a participant in Deloitte’s 2017 Board Ready Women program to prepare women for service on public boards. Summer is currently serving as a member of the audit committee for Gateway Health and as a Director on the board for PAWomenWork. Summer is also a Cybersecurity Fellow for the Center for Strategic and International Studies as part of a cohort focused on identifying and solving policy issues at the national level.

Geoff Belknap

Geoff Belknap – Chief Security Officer, Slack

Geoff Belknap is the Chief Security Officer at Slack, responsible for physical and information security. Geoff has more than 20 years of experience in security and network architecture. Previously, Geoff was Chief Information Security Officer at Palantir Technology. He has held numerous technical leadership roles in the financial services and telecommunications sectors. Currently, Geoff serves on the board of the Bay Area CISO Council. Geoff has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University and is actively involved as adviser to a number of start-ups on cybersecurity and policy. He is a member of the CSIS Cyber Policy Task Force for U.S. and International cybersecurity policy.

Sacha Faust – Security Intelligence Lead, Lyft

Sacha Faust has held several security roles across the industry since the late 90’s and focusing on automating offensive and defensive security decisions. He is currently spearheading the Security Intelligence group at Lyft.

Vijay Bolina

Vijay Bolina – VP Global Infrastructure & CISO, Blackhawk Network

Vijay Bolina is Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Blackhawk Network where he is building a team to protect the product and services of the largest global prepaid and financial products network. Prior to his current role, Vijay worked at Mandiant as a incident responder leading some of the largest data breach investigations in history. Prior to Mandiant, Vijay worked with 3-letter agencies in the Washington DC metro area responding to and combatting some of the most sophisticated attackers targeting the US Government and Military.

Richard Seiersen

Richard Seiersen – SVP & CISO, Lending Club. 

Richard is a security executive with ~20 years experience ranging from start-ups to global organizations. He currently is the SVP/CISO of Lending Club. Previously he was the CISO and VP of Trust for Twilio as well as the VP & GM Cybersecurity & Privacy for GE Healthcare. His current focus is developing quantitatively informed strategies, building agile teams that scale and making digital risk measurable. Likewise, he recently co-authored a decision analysis book called How To Measure Anything In Cybersecurity Risk (Wiley 2016) and is in the process of writing his next book, “Prove It! Confronting Security With Data.”

Igor Varnava – VP & Chief Security Officer, CallidusCloud. 

Igor Varnava is a Chief Security Officer for CallidusCloud. Igor oversees and coordinates all information security efforts across the entire CallidusCloud enterprise. Accountable and responsible for enterprise-wide security policy and programs. Prior to joining CallidusCloud, Igor spent 12 years as President of V&C Solutions, an IT Consulting Company focused on server network and security implementation and support. Igor started his career at Philips where he moved from System Administrator to Information Security Manager, implementing, monitoring and maintaining the organization’s information security program.

Harry Sverdlove – Founder & CTO, Edgewise Networks

Harry Sverdlove, Edgewise’s Chief Technology Officer, was previously CTO of Carbon Black, where he was the key driving force behind their industry-leading endpoint security platform. Earlier in his career, Harry was principal research scientist for McAfee, Inc., where he supervised the architecture of crawlers, spam detectors and link analyzers. Prior to that, Harry was director of engineering at Compuware Corporation (formerly NuMega), and principal architect for Rational Software, where he designed the core automation engine for Rational Robot.

Dr. Muddu Sudhakar – Entrepreneur & Executive

Muddu Sudhakar (Twitter: @smuddu) was VP & GM of Big Data, Machine Learning/AI, Security and IoT, Splunk.  At Splunk Muddu worked on applications of AI/Machine learning, Big data platform, Thin & Thick App development platform, Open source technologies, IoT Analytics solutions and Cyber Security products. Before that Muddu was CEO of Caspida, a leader in next-generation Cyber Security & Threat detection using Machine learning. Muddu was VP & GM at VMware and Pivotal from 2012 to 2014 for Big Data Analytics, Machine learning and Cloud Services. Muddu was co-founder and CEO of Cetas which was acquired by VMware in 2012.  At EMC Muddu was Chief Strategy Advisor, VP & GM for Cloud Information Services. Muddu work involved Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Information Services at EMC. Muddu was CEO & Founder of Kazeon from 2003 to 2010 which was acquired by EMC. Muddu led Kazeon to be a leader in Information Security, eDiscovery, and Enterprise Search markets.  Before Kazeon, he was Co-founder & President of Sanera Systems, a next-generation SAN technology company. Sanera was acquired by McData (Brocade) in 2003. From 1996 to 2000, Sudhakar was lead architect and designer of CPU and server technology at Silicon Graphics, Inc. He holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles and a BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.  He has more than 25 patents in Cyber Security, Big data analytics, Machine learning, Analytics, Cloud Services, SaaS Apps, Enterprise Search, Information Management, Distributed systems, Storage technologies, SAN/NAS, Server technologies, Virtualization, Search, Information security, Networking technology and VLSI chip design.

Anil Earla is the Head of Information and Data Analytics for Global IS at Visa Inc., where he leads diverse teams of business and technology. As an intrapreneur, he is passionate about bringing Silicon Valley innovation mind set to larger organizations. His dual roles span innovation and strategic partnerships, shaping vision/strategy and technology alignment, various technology verticals across product life cycle for cyber security such as product management and business/system analysis, Big Data and visualization engineering, advanced analytics (data science), business intelligence and data warehousing, infrastructure and solution architecture, infrastructure and operations, program/portfolio management, and governance. In addition, Dr. Geers is a NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (NATO CCD COE) ambassador, an affiliate with the Digital Society Institute-Berlin, and a visiting professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in Ukraine. Dr. Geers spent twenty years in the US Government, with time in the US Army, at National Security Agency (NSA), Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), and NATO, and was a senior global threat analyst at FireEye. He is the author “Strategic Cyber Security”, Editor of “Cyber War in Perspective: Russian Aggression against Ukraine”, Editor of “The Virtual Battlefield: Perspectives on Cyber Warfare”, Technical Expert to the “Tallinn Manual on the International Law Applicable to Cyber Warfare”, and author of more than twenty articles and chapters on cyber security.

Rob Fry – Vice President of Engineering, JASK

Rob Fry serves as Vice President of Engineering at JASK, where he leads the development of the JASK ASOC platform. Fry is an accomplished architect, inventor and public speaker with more than 20 years of experience specializing in SOC technologies, including security automation, threat detection, data analytics, machine learning and cloud security. Prior to JASK, Rob was Senior Security Architect at Netflix, where he invented FIDO, a patented open source SOC automation platform. Prior to Netflix, Fry was Senior Server and Security Engineer at Yahoo, where he created the DUBS configuration and automation framework for production servers. In his free time, he enjoys guiding technology companies through growth as an active participant on advisory boards and engineering steering teams.
